Meridian

Welcome to Meridian

An attractive, peaceful suburban city for residents seeking family-friendly neighborhoods

As Idaho's second-largest city, Meridian has a lot to offer. Meridian's rapid growth began in 2000, prompting both industry and economic development throughout the area and transforming it into one of Idaho's major cities.

Regarding the architectural styles of the city, Meridian's famous landmarks, such as the Meridian Idaho Temple, have a nostalgic feel to them due to the combination of classical architecture and historical connection. The Prairie style used for this landmark can be found in many of the city's homes, lending a sense of familiarity and comfort.

What to Love

  • Convenient freeway access and quick commute times
  • Speed racing events at Meridian Speedway
  • A quick and perfect winter escape to Bogus Basin
  • The abundance of dining, entertainment, and shopping options
  • Over 40 craft breweries in the area

Local Lifestyle

Meridian's convenient location is one of the best aspects of this city. It is situated in southwest Idaho's Treasure Valley, surrounded by mountains and agricultural lands. It is also close to major cities, such as Boise and Nampa, meaning residents do not miss out on city life.

Meridian is a family-friendly city comprised of several neighborhoods. From thriving areas like Bridgetower and Paramount to upscale neighborhoods like Sonna and City Center, everyone can find the perfect place to call home. Properties in Bridgetower are built on larger-than-average lots, giving you plenty of space to enjoy your yard and patio. The schools are excellent, and there are numerous amenities, such as swimming pools, clubhouses, parks, and biking and walking paths to enjoy.

Meanwhile, Saguaro Canyon has a more distinct southwestern theme, with scenic views of red rocks and cacti. SpurWing Greens, a newer community in Meridian, also has a lot to offer, including new tennis courts, a country club, and a large neighborhood.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

A trip to The Village at Meridian is a must for the perfect day of shopping. This outdoor shopping center is the ideal gathering spot for friends and family, thanks to the abundance of shopping and dining options.

Before you get too hungry, stop by Albertsons Market Street, the largest Albertsons store in the world. The supermarket, which spans over 100,000 square feet, has a wine cellar, an oyster bar, a mochi bar, freshly baked pizzas, and even a popcorn station.

Things to Do

The activities and events in Meridian are nearly endless, but if you are a speed fanatic, a visit to Meridian Speedway is a must. The motorsport race track hosts stock car races from May to October, and you can watch events like boat racing, monster trucks, and sprint cars.

When the weather is warm, you can also visit Roaring Springs Water Park for a family-fun adventure. There are over 20 water attractions at the park, including wave pools, boat rides, and speed slides. Even better, the Wahooz Family Fun Zone is right next to the park, where you can find go-kart tracks, mini-golf, an arcade with over 100 games, and bumper cars. If you like staying indoors, you can always visit Topgolf and enjoy a technologically enhanced golf entertainment experience.
